About Table Rows as Links

Previous Entry Table Rows as Links Jul. 7th, 2005 @ 10:07 am Next Entry
I am building a site with a shopping cart displaying on each page and I would like to have rows of a table as links to the items. There will be columns showing qty, item number and price. As a tr or table are not supposed to be enclosed in an a tag; should I make the cells spans and format them as table cells through CSS?
I was trying out a new LJ client, sorry about the mess
Current Mood: sorry

Your post has broken HTML in it and will break people's friends pages. It might be wise, when quoting HTML, to encode all the HTML characters - > and <, particularly.

Depending on how concerned you are about degradation to older browsers, you should provide an acceptable experience for browsers without JS support. Why not put a link in each table cell? You could still add the JS to link the entire row if that the desired effect.
